Sitiawan Football League Opening Ceremony 07.02.10

7th February 2010, 5:00pm, this was the date for the Sitiawan Football League Opening Ceremony and the Nan Hwa Band was invited to display melody and march for this exciting event. Y.A.B. Kuala Gula One Day Trip 21.12.09

Malacca - Johore Tour and the 15th MSSMBC 08.08.09-09.08.09

As the participating bands of the 15th Malaysian Secondary School Marching Band Competition slept, the Nan Hwa Marching Band was busy preparing for their journey to the competition the following day to give their cheer and support to the other bands.

Chinese National Performance 23.04.09

23rd of April 2009 – The Nan Hwa Marching band was invited to the Opening Ceremony of SRJK(C) Chinese National’s new classroom building to perform their 2009 programme.

Members gathered in bandroom that morning before departing to Chinese National, roughly a kilometre away from Nan Hwa, bringing along their equipment.

Pageantry in Wind 2009 14.02.09

It was on 14th Febuary 2009, Valentines Day, and with their smart uniforms and polished instruments, the Nan Hwa Military Band presented a concert, themed “Pageantry in Wind 2009”. The concert was organized in an effort to raise funds for the band and giving an opportunity for the band members to express their talent on stage.Performing a selection of classical, contemporary, and folk pieces, present members and a few guest players, mostly Nan Hwa alumni, performed in the event. Sports Day 07.02.09

On 7th February 2009, all sportsmen and sportswomen of Nan Hwa gathered at the school field for our annual Sports Day event. The event started off with the customary Opening Ceremony, which includes the marching in of the different uniform bodies, namely, the school’s 4 official sports team: Enggang, Merak, Helang and Rajawali, and other uniform contingents. The Nan Hwa Military Band took part in the opening ceremony just like every other year, as the band’s tradition to fulfill the task giving a fanfare of brass, wind and percussion to enhance the overall atmosphere of the event...(read more)

29th Passing Out Ceremony 20.12.08

It is the time of the year again, when band members, seniors and juniors dressed up smartly in their uniforms. Boots and shoes polished; tunics and skirts or trousers ironed… it’s the Annual Passing-out Parade of SMJK Nan Hwa Band. School staff, parents, students, ex-members and parents gathered in the school hall of SMJK Nan Hwa to witness the ceremony.
