Pre Show 2010

It was an exciting moment that was looked-forward-to by the Nan Hwa Marching Band as they kick off for their first pre-show in 2010 after months of training. The main focus of the pre-show was for the parents of the current members, ex-members and students to view the show before the competition, seeing what our members had achieve since the past few months of training.

Band members started their busy preparation work at around 5pm. Hats, tunics, shoes are prepared and checked and most importantly, instruments were polished and readied for the show.

Brass and wind players were gathered for a short warm-up and tuning session under the lead of the band conductor. Percussionist and Colour Guards carried out their warm up sessions respectively.

6pm- A brief rehearsal is conducted and a run-through over the show.

6.30pm- Supporters started to arrive, taking on the best spots to get a full view of the show.

7pm- Band members and colour guards are ready to march in with their instruments. After marching in, the members took their places as soloist start off the show.

7.30pm-The show ended with applauses from the spectators. Drenched in sweat, the band members marched out of the field.

Although the pre-show was not perfect, comments and hopes were given by the alumni who attended as members listened and learned their mistakes in order to achieve a better understanding on where to improve for their next show.

A big thank-you to the parents and supporters who were present that day, we look forward to seeing you all in the next show.
